Reason for Defeat:
Noise started on the beam dump water flow signal (EWS:HAW:FG02) on Dec 10. The noise spikes were causing trips of the EHD run permit and preventing beam tests. Signal smoothing increased from 0.8 to 0.95 to help smooth out the large spikes.

Ricky (Controls) changed the smoothing in the Control system code.

Protections are still in place, they will just be a little slower. This was approved by Thomas Planche.

Smoothing was increased further to 0.99 after another alarm/trip was received yesterday (see e-log https://web.accel.triumf.ca/elinac_elog/Elog_show_result.pl?inid=57952&style=thread&timemode=eventtime).
