Thank you for the detailed content of your email. The information you provided made it easier to understand the issue and its context to overall operations.

"Please let this email serve as documented agreement from RPG to adjust the levels for beam-spill monitor 63 (BSM-63) from 30 to 35. This increase will address the frequency of warning alarms without compromising ALRA or overall safety of the operation. " -email from Rock Neveau Aug 25 2023

Working limit has been raised to 40, as per the email from the TRIUMF chief safety officer below:

Please let this email serve as documented agreement from RPG to adjust the working trip levels for beam-spill monitor 63 (BSM-63) from 35% to 40%.

After consultation with Accelerator Operations staff and the RPG Group Leader it was concluded that rather than adjusting the setting to 38%, an increase to 40% is warranted to minimize the potential for additional warning alarms while still maintaining worker safety during thorium irradiations at the IPF. This increase will minimize the potential for additional warning alarms without compromising ALARA or overall safety of the operation.

Please let me know if there is anything else Operations would like to formally document our decision to increase BSM#63 settings to 40%.
