Cooling water has been shut off to EMBD:DUMP to prevent erosion of the target. Locking out this dipole will remove the possibility of sending beam down the EMBD. This is added protection on top of the beam mode interlock. |
Water to EMBD:DUMP must be restored. |

Historically, best practice is to not completely stop water flow through devices during periods of non use as stagnant water becomes unconditioned which then accelerates corrosion. Best practice is to leave at minimum reduced flow through devices to maintain water chemistry and PH.
